Founded the first Paediatric and Adolescent Gynaecology (PAG) unit in Malaysia, at Hospital Tunku Azizah, in July 2025. She is the specialist Malaysian girls get sent to when “just a period” turns out to be something else — a tumour, a bleeding disorder, PCOS, or a body that developed differently.

Leads on public education around menstrual health: her team surveyed 341 schoolgirls at the “Girls, Take Charge” seminar (UKM Cheras, Sept 2023) and found most held basic misconceptions about what a normal period is. 2025 FIGIJ Bursary Award winner (international paediatric gynaecology federation).

Also practices reproductive medicine and oncofertility, and sits on Ministry of Health / JAKIM work covering differences in sex development, gender dysphoria, and a review of the legal rulings on uterus transplantation. Active with IKRAMHealth, MyPAG, and Malaysians Against Pornography (MAP).
