“Do we need to eat medicine if our cholesterol is high?”
The Integrative Physician
Founder of My Life Centre in Petaling Jaya, and fifty years into practising medicine. His work is Functional Integrated Medicine: treating the cell, the environment and the daily habits sitting behind an illness, rather than the symptom on its own.
The clinic frames what it does around what it calls the 4 Big C’s: cellular health, cancer, cardiovascular disease, and the complications of diabetes.
His father, the late Dr Harbans Singh, sold 25 acres of Cameron Highlands tea estate to put himself and his three children through medicine. He qualified at 45 in 1969, the oldest house officer in Malaysia, and died of chronic myeloid leukaemia at University Hospital on 18 June 1973. That loss is what turned Dr Narjit toward preventive medicine.
